SHOW
HUNTERS
Show
Hunters: For horses that show a little more substance than is
required for show hack classes. They should be quality animals and
demonstrate the same ability to prove a smooth even ride and a
reliable temperament. Movement should be bold and should cover the
ground with a gallop well balanced moving from shoulder with the
hindlegs well under - a certain amount of knee actions is
permissible. A flat stilted action is unacceptable. Manners are
extremely important and misdemeanors should be penalised. Saddlery
should be clean and neat, browband plain, not ribboned, saddle may
have a more forwards cut. Riders should preferably wear a tweed
jacket and the workout should be similar to show classes but must
include a gallop.
